Agronomy Manager R & D

Requirements :

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agriculuture, Agronomy or related fields.
• Minimum 15 years of proven experience on oil palm agronomy.
• Strong knowledge of soil science, crop nutrition, P&D, planting materials and sustainable plantation practices.
• Ability to communicate fluently, as well as write reports and publications in English and Bahasa.
• Able to conduct field research, statistical analysis and the writing of scientific papers in English.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire teams.
• Passion for innovation and sustainability in agriculture.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Provide expert agronomic advisory to estate operations and management.
2. Formulate manuring recommendations and other agronomic practices for the plantations.
3. Lead and implement research & development programs to improve yield, sustainability, and efficiency.
4. Oversee the operation of the agronomy laboratory and research centre, ensuring accurate analysis and innovation in best practices.
5. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of dedicated agronomists.
6. Shape and drive the company’s technical and strategic direction in agronomy.
